Getting Started
What file formats do you support?
We support DOCX, PDF, and TXT files up to 5MB in size. Most CV formats work perfectly with our system.
How do I provide a job description?
You can either upload a job description file (DOCX, PDF, TXT) or paste the text directly into the text area. The job description should be at least 50 characters long.
Do I need to create an account?
Currently, JobFit AI doesn't require account creation. Simply upload your files and get started immediately.
How long does the analysis take?
Analysis typically takes 10-30 seconds depending on the length of your CV and job description. We'll show you a progress indicator while we work.
Understanding Your Results
What do the results tell me?
Your analysis includes four key areas: What's Missing (requirements you don't have), What You're Doing Well (your strengths), How to Improve (specific advice), and Cover Letter Tips (how to present yourself).
How accurate are the recommendations?
We provide data-driven insights based on keyword matching, skill analysis, and industry best practices. However, you should always review and customize recommendations to fit your specific situation.
What if I don't have some of the required skills?
That's exactly what we're here to help with! We'll show you how to address skill gaps honestly, highlight transferable skills, and suggest ways to bridge the gap through learning or experience.
Can I use this for multiple job applications?
Absolutely! You can analyze your CV against different job descriptions to optimize for each specific role. This is actually one of the best ways to use JobFit AI.
Privacy & Security
Is my CV really private?
Yes! Your files are securely processed on our servers, but we don't store them permanently. Only the words from your CV are sent to OpenAI for analysis, and everything is deleted immediately after processing.
Do you store my data?
No. We don't permanently store your files, the text we read, or analysis results. Everything is processed in memory and deleted immediately. We only keep server logs for security purposes for up to 30 days.
What does OpenAI see?
OpenAI only receives the words from your CV and job description. No formatting, images, personal details, or file information is included. We also enable OpenAI's zero data retention policy.
How do you protect my privacy?
We use secure processing, don't store your data permanently, and comply with GDPR requirements. Check out our Privacy page for detailed information about our privacy practices.
Troubleshooting
My file won't upload. What's wrong?
Check that your file is in DOCX, PDF, or TXT format and under 5MB. If it's still not working, try saving your CV in a different format or reducing the file size.
The analysis failed. What should I do?
This usually happens if the file is corrupted or contains unreadable text. Try uploading a different version of your CV or check that the file opens properly on your computer.
The results don't seem relevant. Why?
Make sure your job description is detailed and specific. The more information we have about the role, the better our analysis will be. Also ensure your CV contains clear, readable text.
Can I get a refund?
Currently, JobFit AI is free to use. If you're not satisfied with the results, try analyzing against a different job description or contact us for help.

Use detailed job descriptions, ensure your CV is up-to-date, and be specific about the role you're targeting. The more context we have, the better our recommendations.
Should I modify my CV based on every recommendation?
Not necessarily. Use our suggestions as guidance, but always maintain your authentic voice and only include information that's true and relevant to you.
How often should I analyze my CV?
Analyze your CV for each specific job application. Different roles require different emphasis, so tailoring your approach for each position is key to success.
What if I disagree with the analysis?
That's perfectly fine! Our analysis is a tool to help you think critically about your application. Use what's helpful and ignore what doesn't fit your situation.
